Best for Women

Soroptimist International of Pasco-Kennewick, together with our collaborating partner, Soroptimist International of Three Rivers, established the Tri-Cities Soroptimist Against Trafficking committee (TC-SAT). Human Trafficking is a world-wide problem that impacts even our local Tri-Cities, Washington community.  To help recognize the signs and symptoms of human trafficking and to save and restore victims, we have collected and created programs to create awareness of this problem, and provide resources to our community:  From delivering seminars and education to first responders, healthcare and legal services providers, to teaching prevention and empowerment to youth.

TC-SAT recently assembled  survivors needs bags.  Among other things, these bags included necessary and personal care items, stuffed animals, journals, sweats, bus passes, and gas cards. Then, we delivered them to local women and girl survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other violations and injustice.

If you'd like to learn more or schedule a TC-SAT presentation for your group or learn more about the COMMUNITY CONVERSATION, please contact us.
